Why do we watch?

I'm interested to see the primary motivation of different viewers. Are we drawn to the show because of the historical representations, do we enjoy the time travel elements, or do we tune in to catch the latest drama between characters?

Historical representations for me. Some of the non-fictional characters are obvious, but some (Julian Charvet, just now) have me stopping the episode to do "homework" on Wikipedia.

I watch because of the historical representations. Some of them I write down and stop to look them up to confirm or to see a further explanation of what is going on at that particular time.

I watch Timeless because I have always been fascinated by time travel. I've watched the movie countless times and used to love to tune in to see Time Tunnel. It is a shame that that show only lasted one year. I wish there were more time travel tv shows and more time travel movies. There are many time periods that I would like to visit.

I watch Timeless because I've always been facinated by Time Travel. It's so unpredictable, is it a paradox? What if this happened instead of that? How can you hit the speed of light? (For people who don't know, you need to hit the speed of light to time travel) I also love the story's that are told in the books, on internet and in movies.

We might not need to hit the speed of light to travel in time. So much is still unknown about the true nature of space and time. There could be wormholes that take us from one space/time to another, for example--but how do we get in and out of them? Who knows? But that's the fun of fiction!

I first watched it for the history, but then I fell in love with the characters and plot.
