Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States of America. He was the first Republican and the first to be assassinated. His administration oversaw the invasion of subjugation of the Confederate States of America.

On April 14, 1865, Abraham Lincoln was at the Ford's Theater with his wife Mary Todd Lincoln watching the play Our American Cousin. Famous actor and Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth came up behind him and shot him in the back of the head. Booth pulled out a knife and stabbed Major Henry Rathbone during a struggle. Jumping to the stage that he normally performed on, Booth raised his knife and shouted "Sic Semper Tyrannis!" (Latin: Thus Always To Tyrants). He was killed after a manhunt.

Lincoln died at 7:22 am the next morning. His Vice President Andrew Johnson was sworn in as his successor.

In the Timeless Universe

At Ford's Theatre on April 14th, 1865, Lincoln and his wife then went to see the show there. There, they met General Grant, their son, Robert and his guest miss Juliet Skakesman. However, Lincoln was then killed by time-traveler Garcia Flynn despite Miss Shakesman's attempt to warn him.

After Skakesman stopped Flynn from killing General Grant, Lincoln was then taken to the Petersen House, where he died. (“The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln”)
