Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the United States. Prior to becoming president, Reagan had been an actor and the Governor of California. Reagan won the 1981 election against Jimmy Carter in landslide, and was inaugurated on January 20, 1981. After two months in office, on March 30, 1981, Reagan was shot by John Hinckley Jr..
In the Timeless Universe
- In the original timeline, once Reagan was finished with a speaking address at the Hilton Hotel, John Hinckley shot him to win the attention of actress Jodie Foster. In the crowd, awaiting the president's arrival at the historic event was Officer Denise Christopher.
- In the altered timeline, upon seeing that Rittenhouse had a sleeper agent in 1981 in Washington D.C. the time team thought that Rittenhouse's target was Ronald Reagan, but in reality, it was an attempt to kill Denise Christopher in the past, separate from John Hinkley Jr.'s activities.
