Woodrow Wilson was the 28th President of the United States. Under the Wilson administration, the Treaty of Versailles was signed, officially ending World War I and the 19th Amendment was passed, granting women the right to vote.

In the original timeline, before heading off to Paris to negotiate the Treaty of Versailles, he heard a speech by suffragette Alice Paul which convinced him to pass the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.
In the altered timeline, Alice Paul is imprisoned and killed before she can give the speech to inspire Wilson, and instead Grace Humiston gives an impromptu speech in her place, when the police violently interfere with a silent vigil in Alice Paul's honor.
